First, make sure that you have a paid and activated copy of DVD energy. DVD energy has a great user interface. If you have 2 dvd drives, you can drag the movie file into the program and save it to the other drive. If you only have 1 drive, you need to save to an iso file first.

You can copy files on a DVD to a CD but a video DVD will not fit on a CD. a DVD is 4.7GB, and a CD only holds 700MB -- roughly 1/7 the capacity of a DVD. Even if you could compress DVD files onto a CD, it would not play as DVD and CD players use different lasers.

Yes! in fact this is one of the main purposes of DVD energy. Keep in mind it is impossible to transfer the full quality of a DVD to a CD, so there will be some degradation of audio and video. Also, DVD energy will only copy legal DVD's, so there is no way to copy "burned" DVD's.
