Recent changes to Transportation Safety Authority guidelines mean you can now bring a lighter on an airplane on your person or in carry-on luggage. If you are still unsure whether you want to deal with the added hassle however, you can as always just stick it in checked baggage.

You cannot because of TSA restrictions, and this is not a new thing either!. Lighters are not allowed in carryon or checked baggage as they pose a fire hazard and therefore a danger to the plane, crew, and passangers. They are cheap (usually about $1) so just buy one when you get to your final destination.

No, lighters are not allowed on board planes every since the September 11 terroist events. They are considered a weapon and dangerous and they will make you leave it behind when you go through security. You will have to buy a new one when you get to wherever you are going.

You can bring a lighter on a plane but it must not have any lighter fluid in it! So i would recommend not bringing one.
