It is generally not required for dogs to bathe every day. In fact, it may be detrimental to your dog's health depending on breed. The natural oils produced by the body are important in maintaining a healthy coat. Daily bathing strips these oils, and this can result in problems for a pup.

Unless your dog is hunting or working outside; he should not be bathed daily. Over bathing can cause dandruff and other itching skin disorders as it will deplete natural oils that protect and shine the skin. If you must bathe often, use the most gentle shampoos and condition often.

Yes, dogs can bathe any day and every day. But they have to be dried thoroughly after the bath. Dogs in the wild dry themselves by rolling over the ground. It makes them lokk dirty again. Pets can be dried with towels or dryers. But most pets shun a bath only because of this drying problem.

No it would dry their skin out so bad they would itch their skin off about once a week to keep pests off is all I have ever done.
