Cancers of the skin are the second more prevalent type of cancer in cats. There are lots of different types, including various tumors, moles or damage to the skin from sunburn. Cat skin cancers often go undetected, which leads them to cause more cat deaths than any other ailment.

Yes. Check your cat regularly to make sure they don't have any large bumps, discolorations, or swelling. Check for under the skin masses as well as eyes and ears. If the eyes and ears appear to be scaly, have a vet check them out promptly.

Yes, cats can get skin cancer. Infact skin cancer is the second most common form of cancer in cats. Examine your cat's skin for unusual tumors or scaly areas. If caught early, feline skin cancer is fully treatable.

Yes. Just like humans, you'd be looking for "moles" blemishes, growths on or below the skin, changes in their skin, bleeding and discharge. Look for scaly, bumpy or reddened areas. I am very sorry if this is happening, please see your vet, it may very well be an irritation, infection, or even a type of mange. I hope everything's well!
