Staying with family can cut down on rent/mortgage expenses (if you own your home, you can rent it during your time of unemployment). Go through your belongings, and sell items that you no longer want or need. Also, try temp employment agencies in your area.

Ebay and Craigslist items around your house that you don't use anymore. You can also have a garage sale.

It is very hard. You can apply for food stamps and a welfare check and usually get that within thirty days. Also, try your local churches, food banks, and clothing banks for help with your bills and needs.

Surviving unemployment is difficult. The biggest thing is to keep looking, and try to find a job as soon as you can, even if it is not what you want. While you look, you should apply for food stamps. If you can get unemployment benefits, do so.

If you have run out of savings, the first option is to seek assistance from food banks, charities, and social services. After that, one could try hunting and gathering their own food, gardening, finding and selling material to recycle, picking up items from trash pickup and selling them after refurbishing.

Surviving without a job is hard but you need to expand your options and make getting a job your job. Expand your search everyday and have faith in yourself.
