First make sure you properly stretch. Spread your legs apart standing upright, arms in the air and bend backwards forming a bridge. Use your dominant foot to kick yourself backwards keepings legs split apart in air. As your foot lands, begin to stand up with hands in the air.

Stack mats or soft materials about 1/4 of your height tall, and ensure a safe "landing area". Do a back bend, where your feet will be on the mats, and then throw your legs over. As you progress, lower the level of the mats until you are able to do it flat on the ground.

I would suggest to learn it (a) with another person for your safety and (b) with your feet facing a wall. When you bend back and try to jump.. kicking your feet up and over your torso and head you can use the wall as leverage until your arms and abs are strong enough to carry your legs over.

Arch your back, bringing your hands and feet as close as possible to each other, forming a bridge. Start with one leg and kick over.

First you go into the back bend position. Push off with your back foot and kick with your power leg. Keep your legs slpit in the air. As your first foot lands, begin to stand up. It is important to be comfortable in the back bend position before trying the kick over.
