No an ear infection does not cause hiccups. You get hiccups because of trapped air in the stomach. An ear infection is caused by something completely different and has nothing to do with hiccups.

Generally speaking no. Hiccups are your diaphragm spasming and have nothing to do with your ears. An Ear infection is more likely to cause throat or facial pain. Each issue has it's own symptoms and causes.

Ear infections do not cause hiccups. Hiccups are usually caused by eating to fast, spicy food, hot or real cold foods. Hiccups are usually caused by the intestinal area, where ear infections usually caused by swimming, getting water in your ear, or real cold weather.

Hiccups occur when diaphragm contracts repeatedly causing the opening between the vocal cords to slam shut, generating the hic sound. Foreign bodies in the ear, infection of the throat, and goitre in the neck could be the cause of hiccups.

Hiccups are spasms of the diaphragm and ent infections are obviously separate from this but I have recurrent tonsillitis, often accompanied by hiccups.
the hiccups aren't caused by the infection directly, but are caused by the way food, drink and saliva are swallowed with a swollen throat. It is common.  add a comment
