Can a sinus infection cause ear and jaw pain?

I have been having excessive ear and jaw pain over the past several days, I am concerned that something more is going on other than a sinus infection.

Your nasal passage, front, ethmoid sinuses, maxillary sinuses and eustachian tubes are all interconnected. An infection can spread and cause radiating ear and jaw pain. Finish the course of antibiotics and see if that makes the pain better, if not see a doctor.

A sinus infection causing changes in pressure and swelling of the lining tissue in these sinuses. the increase in pressure often causes what is known as referred nerve pain, so that anything around the sinuses, in this case the ear and jaw, can be affected by pain.

There are several sinus canals. Each canal when infection can have their own symptoms. The maxillary sinus can cause severe pain over the cheek bones, teeth and upper jaw. The sphenoid sinus can cause ear pain. If you suspect a sinus infection, you should see your physician with a list of your symptoms to diagnose and treat your condition.
