Yes, it can. Any fish or reptile can get it. You should take your turtle to the vet but take care - some vets are not used to treating turtles and may prescribe you a common anti-parasitic like Ivermectin which is extremely toxic for them. Make sure you visit a vet with experience in reptiles.

Red ear slider turtles can get parasitic worms, including tape worms. The parasites could be caused by any new diet or surrounding habitation needs including gravel and plants. It is suggestive to be taken to a veterinarian for further treatment and medication.

I am quite sure that they can get tape worms. Any animal is capable of getting tape worms. If you go to a vet I am sure that they can give medicine for any kind of worm there is for any kind of animal there is.
