Yes they can; it is more common than you would think. Make sure to give your pig plenty of fluids - by hand if necessary - and take him/her to a qualified exotics vet (ordinary vets have no experience with cavies), who can diagnose properly and prescribe the best course of treatment to save your pet's life.

Yes, it is very possible. Guinea pigs thrive in temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees and can suffer from heat or drafts. It could also be seizures from mites or issues from falling and hurting the spine. Please take your pig (carefully in case of spine injury)to a qualified exotics vet as soon as possible for a diagnosis.

Yes, above all if your guinea-pig was outside in the sunlight. Be sure to put your guinea-pig in a cool, not cold place. Guinea-pigs will sometimes chew on ice chips! This is very good for them especially if they have become overheated they will need to increase their fluid intake.
