It could be the brake switch on the brake pedal. Call your local auto parts store and get a price on one. Its more than likely a fuse. check your owners manual to find out which one the brake fuse is. pull it and replace it.

If all of you brake lights are out, check your fuse box for burnt fuses. Next, check your bulbs sockets for burnt bulbs/corrosion. Finally, check for any cut or damaged wires. If you are unable to find a problem, bring it to a trusted repair shop.

First check the bulbs. There is a slight chance that the all have gone out. If you have a volt meter check the voltage going to them when the brake is applied by someone. If you have power 12volts it the bulbs. If there is no power you will need to locate and check your brake light switch and fuse.

When brake lights don't work, the best thing to do is to drive to a service station, usually where you bought your car. When you are there you tell them your brake lights don't work. They will fix them you idiot.
