A Havanese like many small breed dogs, usually reaches its maximum growth between the ages of 7 and 9 months. After they have reached this age, the growth usually slows way down, and at the most may only gain another pound or two.

A Havanese typically reaches his full height and weight at 8-12 months of age. Keep in mind that over-feeding the dog may allow it to gain additional weight.

Since your Havanese pup is considered a small breed dog his growth rate is faster than a larger breed. Most dogs that are in the toy group tend to develop at a faster rate. That having been said your Havanese pup will reach maturity in about nine to twelve months.
