Are Whirlpool washing machines reliable?

I bought a Whirlpool washing machine over twenty years ago. I raised four children who were kept clean clothed because of that machine. Two of the offspring are boys, football players in their youth. Their uniforms were always spanking clean after a wash cycle. The nest is now empty, but my Whirlpool keeps on whirling a clean load every week!

Whirlpool is a good brand of washing machine. There are many reasons for machines to break down and faulty repairs or over use, or just wearing out will lead to repeat breakdowns. Check Consumer Reports, and you will see.

I have had great experiences with the Whirlpool brand and have never had issues. That being said, I do know others who have become frustrated at the cost of repairs.
