Are there really foods that are negative calories?

I am trying to reduce my calorie intake and would like to learn about negative calorie foods.

Yes, two that I can think of off the top of my head are celery and mangoes. These foods take more calories to digest than what is in them.

The concept of negative calorie foods won't help with weight loss. You could eat ice constantly, then have cayenne pepper for dessert, and you would have given up a lot of heat, but over a month, your fat stores would not be noticeable smaller. Exercise is the best.

All foods have some form of calories, but what the phrase means are foods that take more energy to digest so you actually burn more calories than you take in.

The theory of negative calorie foods is that the food takes as much (or more!) energy to consume than is actually in it. Those would be things like celery, lettuce, veggies, etc. If you are trying to cut down your calorie intake, do it the healthy way.

Negative calories is a term used for when you consume something, it actually takes more energy to chew and swallow than it actually takes to digest. An example of a food such as this is celery where it takes a lot of energy to chew and virtually no eneregy to digest. Hence you are burning more calories than taking in.

I have never heard of nor have I found any foods with negative calories. Now there are your foods with zero calories in them.
