Are there any side effects with Actonel?

There are side effects due to use of actonel but it is not that every one will get it. Some of the side effects are abdominal pain, dryness of eye and ears, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, skin itch and rashes, leg cramps etc.

There are side effects with Actonel, however not everyone taking this drug will have them. Some side effects are back pain, joint pain, bladder infections, diarrhea, abdominal pain and high blood pressure. Some other side effects include nausea, weakness, muscle pain, leg cramps, neck pain, dizziness and benign prostatic hyperplasia (in men).

Side effects are mild. If a pill becomes lodges in the esophagus an ulcer may form. It is best to drink at least a full glass of water when taking.
