Most older vehicles don't even use much electronic equipment as that was incorporated in the early 2000s, if the vehicle does have electronics it would be subject to the same pitfalls as today's models, i.e. Sensors not turning on the fans when needed to, and not reading gauges correctly. I wouldn't worry much about it however.

It is very uncommon for an older Chevy pickup to have electrical problems because it should not have a lot of electrical things going on besides the battery and starter and alternator. You may have to wire a brake light but nothing magor.

The biggest problems encountered on old trucks are due to modification of stock wiring or neglect. Check the technical service bulletins to see specific problems seen with your truck.

Well, yes there are. There are some electrical issues. Sometimes the headlights and bumper lights do not work that great. Just thought I would let you know what I experienced.

I have not heard of any common electrical problems, you can check with your Chevrolet trucks for technical service bulletins on your specific model.
