Projection TV's are not popular anymore for home use as there are many other models of televisions on the market that can be incorporated into the home much better. The newer models of TV's require less space and I think are a much better quality at a reasonable price to the consumer.

Yes, many people still purchase projection television sets for their homes. They are popular because they are good crowd-pleasers; anyone who likes hosting parties should invest in one.

To a certain extent yes if you are very rich and have a large living room or home theater room to project your screen on. Otherwise, most people would be satisfied with a LCD or Plasma television as the basis for their home theater. Projections can be used outdoors and are portable.

They are not as popular as they once were. Since flat screens like Plasma and LCD have come down in price, you can get a bigger screen without taking up as much space. Some people like to use LCD projectors and a screen as well.
