I would not say it is alright to do, but we as humans seem to do it more to the people we love snd spend the most time with. My husband and I have been together 20 years last Nov. I have noticed as we have gotten older we do it less.

No, insults should not be a part of a loving relationship. Why would you want to hurt the person that is closest to you, and will cover your back? Not a good idea at all.

Its okay to disagree once in a while. Its normal, every relationship has that. Insults however are wrong. You may say something you regret but never insult your spouse.

Yes, but only in a joking manner. Actual inslults cause the couple to not trust one another, and trust is the key factor in a relationship.

Absolutely not. Even if you justify the insult by saying it was a joke and you didn't mean anything by it, it can still hurt the other person's feelings. Instead of using insults during your arguments, sit down together and have a good talk. Communication is key in everything successful relationship.
