Are dogs susceptible to post-partum depression or other problems after having puppies?

Thats a hard question to answer because dogs don't talk but if you contact your vet and talk it over with them I am sure they could give you alot more detail then anyone on here can. If you are concerned they may be wrong with her make an appointment to take her in and let them tell you.

Dogs can have the same symptoms after having puppies just like humans get depressed sometimesafter having a child. Dogs just dont have the depression pills that humans do and also no counseling.

I believe that dogs are able to suffer post-partum depression due to the ability to care for others besides themselves.
