Any suggestions for wording on invitations when the couple is already married?

Try this: Allen and Jennifer cordially invite you to a ceremony celebrating their recent commitment to each other in their new marriage. A brief ceremony will celebrate their voes, and a reception will follow.

It depends on the social or proffesional status of each individual in the relationship. Proffesional titles, such as Dr, are used socially and precede marital titles. So, Mr and Mrs. Soandso, Dr. and Mr. Soandso, Judge and Mrs. Soandso, etc.

Give details for the reception. You could say that the couple were married in a intimate ceremony at such and such place. If the couple is already married you could put the invitation as a renewal of vows. Don't feel bad if you didn't invite the people to your wedding but you invited them to the reception.
