Use the juice of three lemons for a 2-quart pitcher of lemonade. Juice the lemons by cutting them in half and twisting the lemon half on a juicer to get the lemon juice out. Add sugar to taste, starting with one-half a cup and add more depending on how sweet you like your lemonade.

A good ratio is one cup of lemon juice for three to four cups of water. Four to six lemons of an average size will make one cup of lemon juice.

You need about 10 to 15 lemons to make a pitcher of lemonade. There are so many different lemons you can use as well. For example I used organic lemons.
